Caring for Juvenile Convicts
Juvenile convicts are considered as special vulnerable group in penitentiary system. Rehabilitation and re-socialization programs are defined with mechanism of implemented individual approach in juvenile corrections facilities.

Access to the General Educational Program for juvenile defendants and convicts implies implementation of learning process appropriate to existing standards and national plan of educational system. If juvenile wishes, he/she has opportunity to prepare and pass external, certification and national exams.

According to an agreement concluded by the Ministry of Corrections of Georgia and Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, juvenile convicts are involved in the following professional college courses:
• Driving license theoretical course which aims to teach listeners rules of road traffic, rules for pedestrians, laws and to teach safe car driving according to corresponded legislation.
• Guide (tourism) Program which aims to prepare professional guides. Within the course juveniles will study history of Georgia, historical monuments and sightseeing of different regions of Georgia, etc.

Psycho-Social Training for Juvenile Convicts

Intellectual-Educational and Cultural Events
Considering juveniles’ interests, debate and readers clubs are functioning in facility; also, movie show times, educational meetings with different invited guests, intellectual-educational events such as Etalon, What? Where? When?, Funny Quiz, literary evenings, concerts and other so on are held there.
• Juveniles are actively involved in sporting events – Rugby, Football, Basketball federations constantly patronize juveniles.
• Tournaments in checkers, chess, and table tennis are permanently held.
• Family relations issue is very important.

Keeping touch with outside world is paid a big attention in juveniles. Juveniles are provided with opportunity to call their relatives, with short and long-term meetings.
